Nature Therapy

Are you ready for a lot of pictures? Here we go!

This is how my day started, walking Zoey for the usual morning mile walk. Like I've mentioned before, there is something special about mornings to me, especially when the sunrises. Maybe it's noticing the beauty in the world that you ignore or take for granted, maybe it's the realization that your problems are small in comparison to the rest of the very large world. I can watch a sunrise every day for the rest of my life and I guarantee I will never get bored of them.

When I got home from work I finally got to take a picture of Zoey with the new tree. One day it will be bigger than her. I was so inspired with it being such a nice day that I had to get us outside! Away from the world of technology and back with nature. Sooo....

We went to Lake Le Aqua Na State Park. It was beautiful! Hence, all the pictures. Yeah HENCE! (Any House Bunny fans out there you'll get that). Anyway...

I've walked the trails in the woods here before but I have never walked fully around the lake. It's been on my bucket list since I moved here but I had yet to accomplish it... until today.

It's very relaxing and therapeutic being outdoors. I was doing something I knew would be hard, especially with the super hilly road, but I pushed myself to do it and I did. Zoey and I did it.

Some people might be afraid of going on long walks solo and being left alone with their own thoughts. I can at times be mentally self destructive to myself but when I de-stress in ways like this, I think of how I am accomplishing something. And you also realize when walking a longer distance too that you should only look back to see how far you've come. And that applies to your everyday life. There is a quote that goes like this:

" I am in competition with no one. I have no desire to play the game of being better than anyone. I am simply trying to be a better person than the person I was yesterday. "

Now that we've made it the extra 2.5 miles at the park we are slightly exhausted. I feel great though! Invigorated. Relaxed. Peaceful. Ahhhhhhhh.... feels good! My legs might not feel like it tomorrow but oh well!

Have a great night everyone!

Love,

Taryn & Zoey
