Rockford

So my friend Chloe and I went into Rockford this past Sunday. We heard Friday and Saturday that we were going to have some pretty severe storms so we decided to play it by ear. Sunday morning comes along and it's sunny! So we decided to take the hour trek into town. About 15 minutes from town it was a hardcore down pour. Go figure!

 

We had to run through the rain from store to store but nothing too dramatic until we got into Old Time Pottery. You couldn't see out the windows!

 

Finally we braved it and made a run for the car... apparently there is no drainage system in this parking lot.... an hour before this picture was taken the parking lot didn't even have a puddle in it.

 

Notice the practically floating cart... If it wasn't for that cart you really couldn't tell there was a flood. People came flying down the parking lot to end up in a huge lake. They couldn't tell. Luckily no one got stuck.

 

I got this great shirt from Five Below. #turtlepride

 

I should have gotten this rat at Petco. Arg!

 

Of course I had to visit the turtles!

 

I got Jerry and I a Christmas tree for $29.99 at Old Time Pottery

 

And some ornaments - the solid colors were only $1.99 a box and the picture on the bottom right was only $3.99 - I believe there are 12 ornaments in the tube.

 

And of course a tree topper for about $3.99 or $2.99 at Big Lots! Cha-ching!

 

I had to get this ice cube tray! I made a pot of coffee this morning and froze them to make coffee ice cubes to go in my Caramel Bailey's drink. YUM! They're almost frozen!

 

I also stocked up on some Christmas dog toys. This one is for Charlee... it is huge. She will love it! I also got Scout a tug toy. Gotta spoil the pups!

 

This is Scout's sweater. She's 13 and cold in the north woods! I also picked her up a Jacket. Both from Big Lots for a total of $18. What a steal!

 

I also picked up this huge bag. I suppose it'll have to be for me now, but it will be my future dogs bag. It'll be his/her travel bag because my dog will go with me EVERY WHERE!! :)

 

And I got this for my future dog, I thought it was adorbs! At first I was like "I love it! But I don't plan on getting a dog yet." But then I saw it was only $4.99 (Marshalls) and I just had to get it!

Of course I got a few other things but these were my favorites!! Since we survived the epic rapids and floods we treated ourselves to some Buffalo Wild Wings. Oh man, were they good!
