Coffee & Flowers

Hello everyone!! Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far! Here's how my day has gone...

It started by Zoey waking me up shortly before 7am. I don't mind - ya'll know I love my mornings. This was the sky we were greeted with when Zoey and I walked outside.

Yesterday (Friday) I received my shipment from Grounds & Hounds that I ordered early afternoon on Wednesday! How quick was that? I had this coffee while Skyping my mom early this morning.

I went grocery shopping this afternoon and decided to pick up a few things for Spring. Tomorrow is the first day of Spring!! Yes! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself!!

So I picked up some fresh cut tulips! Isn't this a cute little mat? My mom made it for me. Then I've got my new candle too that Jerry actually got for me. It's scented juicy pear and it smells amazing!

I got this little guy to help kick start 12 plants of which I have chose...

Sunflowers and watermelon!! Mmmm!! I love a good watermelon! And I noticed my niece and her boyfriend have a couple sunflowers at there place and I thought it would be a good idea to have near either the dog kennel or by some of our bird feeders.

I also got a few succulents that I thought would be nice. I don't know why I never considered getting plants inside before. It wasn't until Jerry's mother asked me if I wanted two of her house plants at Christmas time. She's got a pretty good green thumb, unlike me, I'm a work in progress haha. But that's when it dawned on me that it added light into my life in the winter time.

Also, I thought I would share this picture above. I wish I could remember who posted it on instagram but I don't unfortunately. But I've always considered my body a temple, that's what I would try to tell myself, to convince myself, not to eat too much unhealthy food, or drink too much alcohol or to motivate myself to exercise. But that phrase of a temple was something I just didn't relate to. But this message... that clicks. As an avid nature lover, forest dweller, save the planet, type of person... this spoke volumes to me. Hopefully some of you can get something out of it just like I did.

Well, I think I'm going to continue watching a movie. Have a good evening, day, morning, night or whatever it is by the time you're reading this!
