Who am I?
Let's get a little personal....
In 2016 I would like it to be a year of self discovery. That may seem a bit odd, but I feel like the past 3 years I've tried new things, moved, met new people, etc. I am not who I thought I was. I know people are constantly changing but I also feel like I've kind of gotten out of touch with myself. I need to find that spark again. Maybe some of you can relate to feeling a bit lost. I want to focus on myself this year and rediscover some of the things I use to love or hobbies I've stopped doing. So who am I really? Here's what I've got so far...
I love adventures, kayaking, coffee, writing, and giving love.
My biggest fear is of heights - I won't even climb to the highest point of the ladder, no thanks! My absolute favorite time of the day is in the morning; when you are just waking up and light is starting to flicker through your curtains. Where you can just take your coffee and your dog and go sit out on the deck and watch the sun come up. When the rest of the world seems to be sleeping and it's just you and the sunrise. I love getting lost in nature. There is nothing more fun than getting covered in mud, smelling the earth and the lake water, collecting shells, rocks and memories. My spirit animal is a wolf - I am family based and loyal. I collect books; I can't go to the library and borrow a book. I love the feeling of finishing a book, putting it on my shelf and stepping back to admire them. I love the sound of rain... If I play the sound of rain on my iPod at night, I will be out within a minute. I believe in kind gestures, compliments, scenic routes and love. My element is water - it's so me that if I could I would turn into a mermaid just to live in it. My top three favorite animals are dogs, turtles and wombats. I have a minor case of wanderlust with a sprinkle of gypsy soul. I would love to go on an adventure headed west and living out of my car with my dog, going on endless hikes and exploring places I have never been.
Hopefully at the end of the year I can come back and share what else I have learned about myself :)
