A trip to the lake...

So I took Zoey to the state park today. Within about 2 minutes of walking we saw a little red fox run across the road in front of us. So stinking cute! Unfortunately the full road around the lake was closed off due to hunting. I'm totally "over" hunting right now... can't the deer and other animals have at least one safe haven!?! Anywayyyy...

"Go ahead. You never know what could be on the other side."

"At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun."

It's always so nice to get out in nature. Sometimes I get to caught up in what I'm doing (or not doing.. for example, watching tv and social media) that I don't really do anything I "enjoy". Yes it's December but the weather has actually been warm so why shouldn't I take the time to get up, do something, to live my life.

Zoey and I spent an hour and a half walking the trails and sitting on the docks watching the geese and the sun. I even wrote a poem. I am not going to be sharing that with you because I feel uncomfortable about that right now. But writing has always been something I love and I was so inspired by the outdoors that I couldn't help but jot something down.

So I thought I'd take a moment to share some of these pictures with you. I hope you all are having a great day and a great weekend.

Some words that inspired me today to get me motivated was this:

"Life your life. Take chances. Be crazy. Don't wait. Because right now is the oldest you've ever been and the youngest you will be ever again."

Hopefully it inspires you too. Put your phone down, or your lap top, turn off the tv and literally take a moment to walk your dog, smell the roses as cliche as that may be, have conversations with the people right in front of you face to face,

So I will leave you with that little burst of inspiration! Talk to you all soon!
