Here I am!
No I did not fall off the face of the Earth! However I did go off the grid for a bit and I'll tell you why. My last week of the pet store and my last weekend of Maurice's I got the opportunity to go visit my parents in Wisconsin! Northern Wisconsin that is. And I brought Zoey with too so my parents could finally meet her!
She LOVES the snow! She looks so funny in this picture hehe!
She really enjoyed getting to go down to the lake and just run, run and run! She has a lot of energy so this was perfect for her!
She's so photogenic.... No I'm not biased :)
She was always tired by the early evening time. Jerry doesn't want to have her in our bed so when she's with me at my parents I took advantage of that! It was great! She just stayed at the foot of the bed. Only once did she come and curl up next to me. Which kind of surprised me because she seemed like the type to lay directly on your chest and lick you non stop.
We did manage a group shot! Scout on the left, Charlee in the middle and Zoey on the right. Zoey had never seen a professional looking camera before let alone one that made a noise when the flash went off so she was a little unsure. Plus she had gotten into her first "dog fight" with Charlee that weekend too. Although it was a great lesson because she moved a lot faster when meeting Jake the 15 year old black lab at a neighbors the other night. He really didn't want to play.
In un-related dog news..... there was TON of snow up there! We got about 18" of snow within a 24hour period. As you can see, I can practically climb onto the house.
Back to dogs..... Zoey and Charlee model our new bow ties and mini collar buds! Check them out! They are even cuter in person!! www.thecaninecabin.com
Alright so maybe I wasn't really sleeping but I gotta take advantage of these cute sleep cuddles. He is such a cuddler, don't tell him I said it. Or maybe do, that's ok!
So I bought myself some tulips last Thursday. I got off work at 3:15 and was like"Woo! I'll go get some groceries and buy flowers in honor of spring and surviving my first week of work"....... HA was that a joke! My first day of work last week, on Monday, I woke up over heated and felt very nauseous so I got up very dizzy and tried walking down the stairs. Yeahhhhhh, I missed a step. I tried to lift my arm to stop my self, but that soft spot between your armpit and your boob hit about 4 stairs on the way down. I couldn't lift my arm high at all and it hurt being introduced to new people when I had to shake their hands. Not to mention I got severe rug burn on my elbow and a nice ol' bruise on my ass. So yes I figured I survived that and 30 hours of web training on loans, security, over draft protection, etc. etc. Little did I know my fall was nothing compared to what literally happened 30 minutes after buying myself tulips.....
I can kind of laugh about it now but at the time I was scared to death! I slammed my finger in my car door. How? I DON"T EVEN KNOW! But it happened. I didn't even look at it right away I was just like "Ow, that's gunna hurt." Then I did look and it was a lot of blood. For me, it was a lot. I called Jerry on the phone and was like come home now. I was in shock and in pain. I had to call my mom and wait the 20ish minutes before I could hang up when Jerry got there. Aside from this the worst physical injury I have ever had has been blisters from the monkey bars in elementary school. Literally. No stitches (aside from wisdom teeth but that doesn't really count) and never broke a bone. This was bad! I will save you all the trouble of actually looking at it, although if you really want to go check it out on my facebook page. It's gross!
I'm better about looking at it now, but I still have to have Jerry help me because sometimes it's still too much of a shock to look. I ripped my whole nail out of the nail bed. The tip of my finger nail is detached but the middle of my nail is still attached to what looks like good pink skin. It'll fall off eventually. Nothing like starting a new job and being even more slow because you have a demented chubster of a finger. Ug.
Guys, just be careful when closing a car door, please! I seriously need to wrap myself up in bubble wrap before anything else bad happens!
<3 Taryn
ps. I was telling my mom this evening too, the other night we were at a neighbors and most of us were drinking wine. The guys were like "Taryn you drink your wine so proper!" haha because I couldn't put my finger down! It was pretty funny and I got a good laugh out of it. :)
