Endings & New Beginnings
Hey all!!
I've got a few things to tell you considering it has been quite some time since I last made a post.
First let me show you some pictures! Isn't Zoey getting big!?
Saturday we finally set our "burn pile" on fire.
I attempted a family picture but uh... Jerrys face..... and.... Zoeys face. Fail.
But I did manage this one. I love Jerry's little grin, he's so cute!
Zoey going for a car ride!
Now for the big news.... I put in my two weeks at Maurice's and the pet store I work at. Yup, I got a full time job at a bank! I am thankful because between the two jobs now I am working 12 days in a row and then getting a day off. It's exhausting and I am excited to work Monday-Friday! My hours will allow me to see Jerry more often and go away for a weekend like to my sisters for their crawfish boil in May.
A few things I have learned working at Maurice's
A few things I have learned working at Maurice's
Coming to Maurice's was very difficult, I don't believe I was in the right state of mind to have to worry about having the responsibilities of being a manager. In order to help the team I think I needed to focus more on myself than the stats of my coworkers. It took a while but I did find stable ground and learned a lot about myself.
Here is what I have learned from working at the pet store:
I won't go into detail about my experiences here, but don't do a half ass job, ever. You won't feel good or proud and no one else will either. Everyone will just consider you "average" and who wants that when owning a business? You want to go above and beyond because that's what keeps customers coming back. And when working with the public you should be kind and professional. You want customers to trust you and feel comfortable coming into your store.
Overall,
I don't regret working at either of these places, I feel like I am walking away with more knowledge than when I started. There were obviously big pot holes, crazy dips, and u-turns along the way but that is what I think helps make me a better person and for that, I am thankful.
And for more exciting news we just posted on our website Collar Bud Mini's!!! They are perfect for puppies and small dogs! Check them out at our website: www.thecaninecabin.com
Anyway, sorry I haven't posted for a while, I promise to try and be better about it!
Talk to you guys soon!
xoxo
Taryn
