Labor Day Weekend

If I could tell you what a perfect weekend would consist of... this would be it. Saturday I surprised Jerry with a day date. He had no clue what we were doing! I took him to Galena with 3 things planned. None of which he guess...

We went horseback riding as the first activity. It was a gorgeous day! Galena is a beautiful place to ride so if you ever get the chance I highly recommend it. I did get a surprise out of this as well... a defective saddle. So I managed to fall off my horse. Not the first time I've fallen off a horse and probably won't be my last. All you gotta do is brush yourself off and hop back on.

The second activity was eating a packed lunch before our distillery tour. The atmosphere of this place was awesome! The drinks were wonderful! The tour was so cool and informative. I learned a lot about the process and if you get the chance to do this tour - do it!

And the last thing for the day was Galena Cellars Vineyard where we sampled a bunch of wine. Jerry liked a few of the wines... I told him I'd make a wine drinker out of him yet! It was a great date day - I still can't get over it. We went home and ended up having a bonfire with friends.

Sunday we spent the whole day shooting at a friends house. We all parked our trucks in an empty pasture and shot all sorts of guns and targets. I even got to blow up tannerite. I hit 4 clay pigeons, not moving, I failed epically at that. But we placed a few about 100 yards away and I shot 4. My aim is pretty good, surprisingly. So good if someone broke in my house to hurt me... they'd be dead. Don't break in my house. hahaha!!!

Monday I went fishing. I caught my first ever catfish. It was 7 pounds. It was awesome! I can't wait to go again this weekend!!
