Fitspiration & NaNoWriMo

So, let's be honest. Working out sounds like an awesome idea until you actually do it. You realize how weak, lazy and incapable you are and then you up and quit. I've been there! Insanity for example, you're all for it and then you're drowning in your own sweat and end up sitting and watching the rest of the video (or staring at the ceiling). It's so frustrating!

So I had a bit of a fitspiration when I was online today looking at pictures on tumblr like this...

and this...

It's torture! Anyway, I was inspired to go for a walk and jog (mostly walk I'm out of shape of course!) and I was reminded why I hate it so stinking much!!! Granted, I did manage to do 2.4miles but I also ended up with a green bug down my sports bra, a mosquito bite behind my ear, and some uncomfortably long stares from creep males in the neighborhood. I HATE working out in workout clothes outside.

I've been trying to be better about walking Zoey every morning for a mile, sometimes I get that far and other times we don't. I let her pick the pace and when the 7 o'clock siren goes off we turn back around if we have gotten passed the mile marker especially if I need to leave for work at 8am. Anyway, I have noticed on the days I do walk Zoey, I feel like getting things accomplished. I'm more motivated. I noticed that I pack my lunch at night, I pick out my outfit for the next day, I get the coffee pot ready for the morning etc. On days I don't walk Zoey in the morning I am a couch potato!!

Here is what I have learned...
#1.. Just do it. It doesn't matter what pace you go. If you start with a goal of a 20 minute walk everyday that is progress!!

#2... Stick with it, it will eventually become a habit and you will crave it.

Aside from walking Zoey a mile everyday my goal is to start eating healthier. I notice on days where I don't eat junk food I feel awesome! That's my first step to living a healthier life style.

I'm telling you this in hopes that I will share my progress with you which will in turn help keep me motivated.

Next project on my list is.....

NaNoWriMo !!!

Never heard of it before, right? Me either.

It stands for National Novel Writing Month. It lasts the entire month of November. You have ONE month to write 50,000 word novel. I have always wanted to write a book so this could be pretty interesting! In 30 days write 50K words that's like... 1,667 words a day. Sounds intense! I think I will give it a whirl though!

That's all for now!

See ya later loves!
