Memory Trigger
Alright, I am not one to be overly emotional and I usually keep to myself when I am upset about something. So you may be surprised to hear that while jamming out in the shower to Hannah Montana on Pandora, I went from feeling like I can take on the world to wanting to melt into the water and be washed down the drain. Who knew Hannah Montana could go from one side of the spectrum and then down to rock bottom. It's a crazy concept when you take a scent or in this case, a song, and have it associated with a big step in your life and hearing this song brings all those memories back like that event just happened yesterday.
So I thought I'd share some songs that mean a lot to me. If you take the time, be sure to listen to the lyrics, they speak volumes and literally sum up my feelings at that point in my life. I will take down my walls for a second and share that these songs could bring me to my knees. I mean....**insert metaphorical walls** I'm a tough cookie, little songs don't phase me, psh.
What, or who, shall I start this with...?
Well, the song that came up was about my brother, so he's to blame for this post! haha!
RJ is blessed to have two songs. The first song was a Hannah Montana song called "I'll Always Remember You" which I actually used as the music to his going away dvd I made.
Hannah Montana
I'll Always Remember You:
The next song was a song that I wrote the lyrics to in his bible for his going away gift to boot camp. They could only bring certain and limited items. So I decked out his bible with pictures and these lyrics. I didn't even know this song had much meaning to it until I was at my cousins wedding and this song came on:
Rascal Flatts
My Wish
Moving onto some other songs...
When I quite working at my dads company - which I am very thankful and greatful for having worked there the amount of years that I did. Towards the end of working there, as I was becoming an adult and figuring myself out it was really nice to leave the blue print industry for something more of my passion:
Sugarland
Gotta Be Something More
And when that first job after spreading my wings didn't go as I planned...
Miley Cyrus
Liberty Walk
And when after a year and seven months I left my favorite job ever to move in with my boyfriend...
Miley Cyrus & Emily Osment
Where Ever I Go
And then when I left my first job after having moved....
Sugarland
Settlin'
And a very important one that reminds me of my parents, family and childhood:
Miranda Lambert
The House That Built Me
Sorry this is such a long post but I thought I would share some songs that have a lot of meaning to me. If you know me, you'll probably appreciate this a little more. Hope you enjoy! :)

ps. RJ gets out of the Navy in a year! WOO!
