Life Update

I sincerely apologize for slacking in my posts! Here is an update of my life since the end of April...

So I slammed my finger in the car door on April 24th. After my 4th day of being at my new job! Let me tell you, that was one rough week! My first day of work, I woke up under a pile of blankets so I was over heated and felt nauseous, I flung myself out of bed so quickly to run down the stairs to at least barf on the tile floor if I couldn't make it to the bathroom. Well, that was a fail, I ending up falling down the stairs. I got massive rug burn on my elbow, a bruise the size of Africa on my ass, and you (girls) know that soft spot between your boob and your armpit? In an attempt to stop the fall, I flew my arm up and that soft spot had the pleasure of being hit by four steps. Shaking hands at work that day was not easy! It hurt so bad! Jerry installed a hand railing for me. Thank goodness!
When asked by my coworkers about my finger, since I had the whole thing wrapped up, I told them and the one girl was like "well, it must not be easy to curl your hair" my response was, "funny you should mention it," pointing to my forehead, "I just burned myself curling my hair yesterday." Yup, I walked around with a huge burn on my forehead. My one manager was like, "This job is going to kill you!" Haha! Luckily when I actually got behind the teller line, the physical injuries stopped!

The next big thing that happened was that Zoey got fixed. It was awful you guys, I've only ever had two dogs that got fixed before and one was uncomfortable and stayed in her bed for a week and the other dog couldn't sit still - like she was never fixed in the first place. Zoey on the other hand, threw up 8 times!!! I was like this is not normal. I know some dogs can get sick just like some people (my dad and myself) can get sick after being put under too. I told my coworker and she had the same thing happen. It's like the vet doesn't know how to measure the proper amount of medicine. It seems like they over do it so they don't risk the dog waking up. I like these vets for the most part, but as far as putting a dog under....... it seems questionable.

The weekends are pretty much spent with friends. Jerry wears bandanas to work sometimes and as a joke, Carter (Upper left), wore a matching one, and then all us girls found bandanas so we just put them all on.

Jerry took Carter out bow fishing for the first time, and while Carter didn't actually shoot the fish, he speared them, and within like 5 minutes of being there he already killed 3 fish. It was crazy! Sorry if you are offended by this, I'm guilty of doing it once or twice myself but I really don't like it too much. I just go for support. It's a redneck thing I guess? Look at Matt totally cheesing it on the right! Hehe!

Erin came up to visit me the beginning of May! So nice to see her!

We danced on a bar.....

That evening reminded me of Katy Perry Last Friday Night

My sister and her boyfriend have an Annual Crawfish Boil, so I went a day early to that - so much fun! UV Blue and Lemonade is in our cute little Mason Jars.

Over Memorial Day weekend I took Zoey down to my sisters again. She had so much fun with all their dogs! She also went swimming for the second time. She is loving the water - sometimes she's still unsure but hanging around other dogs that love it helps built her confidence.

Oh I also got to sleep with Zoey every night in bed because Jerry wasn't there! It was AWESOME!! I miss sleeping with dogs, and she was sprawled out on top of me! She had a long and fun filled day, no napping just full on play time! So she was exhausted and ready for bed by 9pm!

Jerry took me for "normal people fishing", you know like a rod and reel. This is my kinda fishing and I loved it!

Later that day we went to Stacey and Brian's to go for a pontoon ride on the river! It was such a nice day for it!

And last but not least, the other day I colored my hair and just made it a little bit lighter. If I stayed out in the sun all summer long my hair would naturally get like this, but because I prefer the pale life and don't get along with heat my hair rarely gets this way naturally. Who knows maybe I'll go another few shades lighter, I don't know! I prefer darker but let's step outside the box, right?

I hope everyone is doing well! I promise to get better about posting!

X's & O's,

Taryn
