Christmas, New Years and Puppy!

Merry belated Christmas and happy belated New Years! I hope 2014 is treating you all well so far. I have to admit 2013 was one hell of a ride... I believe I have had more things happen to me in one year that probably should have lasted over a 5 year period instead. Here are a few things I have learned in 2013....

1) Compromise [kom-pruh-mahyz] - noun - a settlement of differences by mutual concessions; an agreement reached by adjustment of conflicting or opposing claims, principles, etc., by reciprocal modification of demands.

 

2) Passion [pash-uh-n] - noun - any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate.

With that being said we are ringing in the New Year right! We surprised my parents in Northern Wisconsin on Christmas Day. They weren't expecting us until the 26th. It was so much fun! My sister, Kristy,  and her family came up, my older brother, Pete, joined us and my younger brother flew in from Virginia. It. Was. A. Blast!

Jerry and I recently adopted a puppy!! We adopted her from Hoof Woof and Meow Animal Rescue out of the Gilberts, Huntely, Elgin IL area.

 

 

We named her Zoey and she is one of the sweetest and smartest dogs! She already knows sit, stay and come. We're still working on getting her to ring her poochie bells to go out, but so far she has rung them twice on her own! Yippee!!

 

Sorry it has been a while since my last post, retail at holidays are crazy! Plus I was trying to soak in as much "family time" as I could! I hope this New Year brings you everything you could ask for plus more! Just remember: "Every year, day, hour, minute, second is a chance to start over."
